Also relaxing and rejuvenating, these classes contain postures that develop upper body and core strength more vigorously than the RESTORATIVE HATHA CLASSES.

If you are brand new to yoga, learn the basics in a slow paced and open environment where there is time for demonstrations and questions. Teens welcome!

Gallery Goings on ... :)

The SAC will be hosting two more life drawing sessions (Saturdays 1:00pm - 4:00pm).   This Saturday, the 23rd we will be having a costumed model (with tutu so be prepared to get your Degas on) and November 30th (nude).  These sessions are for SAC artists, and offer a relaxed and creative atmosphere.  The artists pay a $10 drop in fee in order to cover the model's fee. These sessions are not led formally and posing is done based on the wishes of the attending artists.

Yoga at the Gallery will be continuing Thursday nights 6:00-7:30pm.  These sessions are open to the public for a 10$ drop in fee.  Yoga will continue at the gallery in the new year so watch for the new schedule.

Meditation:  Guided meditation sessions have begun following yoga. (You may attend one or both)

December 11th SAC christmas Social and Card Exchange :)

Life Drawing Sessions for October/November

Life Drawing Policy for Attendees

Class Fees
Life Drawing sessions at the Sussex Artists Co-op are  booked in monthly blocks, and cost $10 per three-hour session. So, for example, in a month with four Saturdays, the fee would be $40, in a month with 5 Saturdays the fee would be $50.

Please Be Punctual
Saturday afternoon classes start promptly at 1pm and run until 4pm, with a short break mid-class.

No Photography
No photography is allowed in Life Drawing sessions.

Interacting with Artists’ Models
The most helpful guideline is to respect the model’s right to set the tone of interaction. While Sussex artists' Co-op strives to provide a friendly environment in our programs, it is important to maintain an atmosphere of professionalism.

As a general guide, students shouldn't talk to, or otherwise distract, the model while he or she is holding a pose unless the model initiates conversation.

While many models are happy to accommodate requests for poses (eg. one that highlights foreshortening, a repeat of a previous interesting pose, etc.) the models have the final say over what poses they will do, based upon their own comfort level and personal guidelines.

Other Distractions

It is generally a good guideline to limit talking with other students or other noisy activities (moving to another seat, etc.) which should be limited to breaks or gaps between poses.
